At some point, unfortunately, every season must come to an end...and we have reached ours. Last Friday night, at the University of Maryland, our girls entered that court with every intention of giving UMD a great game and coming back to NY with the "W".
The first 15 minutes of the game were great...we fought hard and stayed right with them (or I could say, they stayed right with us!) Then the Terps kicked it into over-drive and ended the first half with a 20-4 run. We never stopped fighting and played hard all the way til the end.
As we've been saying all year long, we are extremely proud of the team and very happy they got to experience what the Post-Season WNIT has to offer. We wish it could have ended differently for our 2 seniors, Thazina and Anna, but the girls are tough and will bounce back to their normal selves soon.
The team will take a little time off and focus on their studies and getting healthy. We will regroup and come back into our post-season with the will and determination to get better everyday for next season.
